EnsiliTech raises £4.5M to store medicines without refrigeration

EnsiliTech is a University of Bath spinout based in the UK. It encases unstable proteins in a silica shell so that vaccines and biologics can be stored and shipped without refrigeration.

Eos Advisory led the £4.5M seed round. Calculus Capital, Empirical Ventures, Fink Family Office, QantX, Angel Investors Bristol, HERmesa, Penn Park Capital and chANGELS also took part.

Co-founder and CEO Asel Sartbaeva was born in Kyrgyzstan. The company itself is British.
