A law on venture financing is signed

President Sadyr Japarov signed the Law on Venture Financing on 28 July 2026. The Jogorku Kenesh adopted it on 18 June.

The law defines startups, business angels, venture funds and funds of funds. It recognises the future-equity agreement (SAFE), the convertible loan and the option agreement. A venture fund can be set up as a limited partnership or without forming a legal entity.

The law takes effect 15 days after official publication.
